Spring is Tarpon season here in the middle Keys and the action is starting to heat up with some good fishing going on right here at the famous 7 mile bridge and at Vaca cut bridge. Some larger tarpon are showing up in the mix of resident fish that have been hanging out at the bridges and some large fish have been reported around wrecks just a few miles north of Marathon in Florida Bay where they move through on their way to the channels where the bridges are located. The action should be fantastic in coming weeks. We still have a few openings during peak time for Tarpon so give us a call to experience the thrill of a lifetime with HUGE TARPON!! {%image_id=7107%} Offshore fishing has been good when we have been able to fight through the rough seas to get out this week with nice catches of Dolphin (Mahi-Mahi) hitting the docks. Some fish this week have been in the 15-20lb class with some nice school fish showing up as well... The calmer weather this week should lead to many more reports of great catches of Mahis so we will let you know as they happen. A few nice Blackfin Tuna have been around as well and a few Sailfish and Cobia have been near the reef edge this week tailing down the 5-9ft waves that we had all week. Thank God the wind has finally subsided and we can get back to normal fishing... I expect some awesome offshore fishing as well in the next few weeks.
