Strong bite in the lowcountry
Beaufort, south-carolina
Rick Percy
October 15, 2012
Fishing has been very good for the most part the last couple of weeks. Have had a few excellent trips on slot Redfish and Sea Trout. Also did a trip on Saturday where we targeted Bull Redfish. We put 7 fish in the boat that weighed between 20 and 25 pounds, all released safely. A bonus was a 40 pound Black Drum that ate a crab. We have mostly fished live shrimp or mud minnows, but artificials like the gulp have produced well also. Our annual fall mullet run is under way, and these fish are feasting to put on as much weight as possible before the bait is gone for the winter. It is a great time to get out on the water.
Tight Lines,
Capt. Rick Percy
